What is the difference between quarterly and monthly instalments?

Matrix offers our customers the option to pay their term fees quarterly or monthly.*

Quarterly: Pay for the entire term’s fees in one single instalment via direct debit.

Monthly: Pay the term’s fees in equal instalments each month via direct debit. (There are no financial penalties or additional fees for customers who select the monthly instalment option.)

*If you're new to Matrix, you will pay either your quarterly term fees or your first monthly instalment, at the point of enrolment.

Why is there a $55.00 enrolment fee?

All new students are subject to a $55.00 enrolment fee to enrol the student into Matrix and create their online Matrix Learning Management System (LMS).

Don’t worry, if you take a break from Matrix and re-enrol in the future, you will not be charged the enrolment fee a second time.

Do you accept any other form of payment other than Visa and Mastercard?

Our current payment system only accepts Visa or Mastercard. We hope to offer other options for our customers in the future, and if we do, we will let our customers know!

When are your Direct Debit payment dates?

Keep in mind, new customers pay either their quarterly term fees or their first monthly instalment, at the point of enrolment. Once you have joined Matrix, you can follow the payment schedules below for any additional enrolments, and for the next term.

Monthly Direct Debit Dates
Term 1: 8 October, 8 November, 8 December

Term 2: 8 January, 8 February, 8 March

Term 3: 8 April, 8 May, 8 June

Term 4: 8 July, 8 August, 8 September

Quarterly Direct Debit Dates
Term 1: 8 October

Term 2: 8 January

Term 3: 8 April

Term 4: 8 July

Term fees must be paid in full by the final payment date of the term for the student to be eligible to re-enrol at Matrix for the subsequent term.

What happens if I enrol after the first Direct Debit Payment date?
Regardless of being a new, returning or existing customer, if we process your enrolment after the first Direct Debit payment date, your instalment (monthly or quarterly) will be deducted on the day of the enrolment.

Monthly Payment Plan: The first instalment will be deducted on the day of the enrolment. The subsequent payments will be deducted on the second and third Direct Debit payment dates.

Quarterly Payment Plan: The total course fees will be deducted on the day of the enrolment.

My credit card was charged by Matrix, even though my child has not attended class yet. Why?

When your child’s enrolment into a class is secured and confirmed, they are invoiced the term’s fees prior to the first payment date of the term.

Sometimes, the first payment date for the term will occur prior to the commencement of the first lesson. (If you wish to withdraw your child’s enrolment before the first payment date for the term, you are welcome to do so. However, we can not guarantee that your child will be able return to their previous class as another student may have filled up the class).

Why don’t you take cash or bank transfers?

For security and tracking reasons, payment in cash and bank transfers are not accepted.

Can I pay for the entire year in advance?

Matrix only enrols our students’ term on term to allow flexibility for our customers as their needs and schedules change throughout the year.

Can I get a refund for a missed class?

Matrix does not offer refunds or credits for any missed classes. On-campus students are recommended to go through the missed week of resources and ask any questions at a Matrix Workshop.
