Summary

Students in high school English courses (both face-to-face and Matrix+) must complete and submit homework, like writing tasks, online in the LMS. The work is marked by their Teacher, who provides feedback. Students can view their marks and feedback in the LMS.

How to submit homework

1. Log in to the LMS using your student account and access your English course.

2. Navigate to the lesson for which you wish to submit homework. Writing tasks are indicated by the green pen icon.

3. Click on the homework task, this will display the task instructions, guidelines, mark allocations, and any additional resources as required for each task. To proceed with the task, click on Prepare answer at the bottom of the screen.

4. Once you click Prepare answer, an additional panel will appear at the bottom of the screen. You have two choices:

  • Enter your answer into the text window that appears.

  • Upload your answer as a separate file.

You can choose how to proceed at the bottom of the screen:

  • Save and submit for grading - this will submit the homework task and you will not be able to edit it further.

  • Save but don’t submit yet - this will not submit the homework task, you can return to it and continue your work at a later time.

5. Once you have completed the task, you must press Save and submit for grading to submit it.

6. To view your submission, you must return to the assignment and click on the Submissions panel.

How to view marks and feedback

  1. Log in to the LMS using your student account and access your English course. Navigate to the lesson, assignment, and submissions tab as outlined above.

  2. Once the assignment has been graded, you will see your score, feedback, and comments from the Teacher.

Depending on how you submitted the task, the feedback may be added to your text like in the image above, or added as separate comments to your document.
